I have been a Chronic Pain patient since 1978. Its almost as long as I have had a strong passion for wine. I figured that any discussions that I have about wine and such, really needs to include my life as a chronic pain patient. Living as a chronic pain patient also meant living with opioids of some dosages on a daily basis. Because of this, I have had to adjust any wine or beverage consumption.
In 2006, I had several herniated thoracic discs. At that time, there was not much information about this condition on the internet. I signed up for Spine-Health to get more information. They had more than anyone else did at the time.
I became very involved with the forums at Spine-Health, so that in 2008, they made me a Forums moderator. The company grew adding more pain web sites and formed Veritas-Health LLC. In 2015, because of this growth, they hired me on as a freelance contractor.

Since, besides being a spinal patient I have severe and degrading Osteoarthritis, which there is no cure. Over the years, this condition resulted in both total shoulder replacements and both total hip replacements, and as of now, I am being faced with a total right knee replacement.
